What is Informatica Cloud Runtime Environment?
A runtime environment is the platform where data integration, application integration or metadata extraction tasks are executed. To ensure that tasks can run effectively within your organization, it is essential to have at least one runtime environment set up. Informatica Cloud offers two types of runtime environments:
- Serverless Runtime Environment: This environment is managed by Informatica and does not require any infrastructure management from your end. It provides a scalable and flexible solution for running tasks without the need to maintain dedicated hardware or software.
- Informatica Cloud Secure Agent: This local agent runs within your network, giving you control over your execution environment. It securely manages tasks while keeping your data within your firewall, ensuring that it is not processed through external servers.
Both runtime environments are designed to accommodate different needs and preferences, providing options for both cloud-based and on-premises task execution.
